Tata Motors will supply 25000 Electric Vehicles to Uber
Tata Motors has bagged India's largest electric vehicle order from Uber. In what is being termed by the news media as one of the largest deals in the green mobility segment, Tata Motors has announced that it will provide 25,000 XPRES-T electric vehicles (EVs) to Uber. The domestic automaker has signed an MoU with the ride-hailing service provider, under which Uber will use the electric sedans in its premium category service. The agreement is part of Tata Motors' efforts to assist Uber in the electrification of their services in cities such as Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Calcutta, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Ahmedabad. Tata Motors had launched the ‘XPRES‘ brand exclusively for fleet customers in July 2021 and the XPRES-T EV is the first vehicle under this brand. The new XPRES-T electric sedan comes with two range options — 315km and 277km (ARAI certified range under test conditions) source telegraphindia
