Electrifying Future of Maruti Suzuki: Electric Car and SUV Launch Plans 
Maruti Suzuki has announced its plans to launch electric cars and SUVs in India as part of its shift towards greener vehicles. The company aims to achieve carbon neutrality by introducing a diversified portfolio that includes battery electric vehicles (BEVs), hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), and other green fuel options. By FY2030, Maruti plans to have six new BEV models, constituting around 15% of overall production. Some possibilities include the Jimny EV, Fronx EV, and WagonR EV. HEVs will make up around 25% of overall production by FY2030. Maruti's focus on affordability will pose tough competition against Tata Motors and Mahindra who already have ambitious plans for electric vehicle launches in India.
