Bajaj Iconic Sunny Scooter Set for an Electric Rebirth: What We Know
Bajaj is rumored to be continuing its trend of reintroducing iconic scooter brands in electric form to the Indian market. Following the revival of the Chetak as an electric vehicle (EV), there are indications that Bajaj may be preparing to launch the Bajaj Sunny EV.
This electric scooter has been spotted during road testing and could potentially hit the market soon. Here's what we have gathered so far.
The Bajaj Sunny EV, as seen in the spy shots, retains its iconic design elements. These include a circular headlamp and a rectangular taillamp reminiscent of the 1990s Bajaj Sunny model. Notably, the scooter features a flat floorboard, and there is no exhaust pipe, which aligns with its electric nature.
It's worth mentioning that the Bajaj Sunny EV appears to have a different platform compared to the Chetak, likely due to its smaller size. This could result in a more affordable price point, positioning it below the Chetak in the market.
However, it is important to exercise caution and manage expectations as Bajaj has yet to officially confirm the launch of this scooter.
There remains some uncertainty about whether it will indeed make it to market.
